The team at Manotick Place Retirement brought the Easter spirit to the halls of our Community.

Thursday afternoon we had a little Pre-Easter celebration with a parade going door to door delivering festive treats, flowers and a little cheer. We even picked up some dancing guests along the way!

Manotick Place sure knows how to party. Our Miller Grand Room was packed last week with friends and family for our February birthday celebrations. Nothing pairs better with birthday cake than sparkling wine and great music! Happy Birthday to all!

A wonderful time was had by all at our Dinner and Dance this month. Lots of laughs and even better dance moves!

Now that fall is here we are reminiscing on hot summer nights and dancing under the stars.

It was a beautiful night, but lots of cozy blankets for when the sun went down. We had lots snacks to enjoy!

What is a Staycation?

At Manotick Place Retirement Community we are very aware of how the decision to move to a retirement residence can be a tough one even when you know it’s exactly what you need to do! This is why we created a program that allows for the opportunity to try the retirement lifestyle out before making a final commitment of selling your house.
Move in for 3 months. We will furnish your suite beautifully with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Need a coffee maker or kettle? We have one for you! Tea towels, flatware and dishes, your bedroom furniture and linens too! You need not move anything in, however you’re welcome to bring a favourite chair, photos or whatever else will help your stay feel most comfortable.

As a Seasonal Stay Resident you have access to all that Manotick PLace has to offer. Enjoy three meals each day in our Elgin Dining Room. Our Activities Calendar is yours to explore! On Saturday, April 6, Manotick Place Retirement Community held a fundraiser for the Parkinson Society of Canada. PIES FOR PARKINSON with 100% of our homemade pie sales going directly to the Parkinson Soceity! Volunteer bakers from Algonquin College put their talents on the line all for a great cause. At the end of the day, there wasn’t a single crumb left and we raised $800 for the Parkinson Soceity!

Ballet isn’t just for Tots in Tutus!
This program from the National Ballet School of Canada, brings meaningful dance activity that benefits physical, cognitive and overall health.

Almost five years ago my father who was my caregiver, was in the hospital. I had to leave home to go live somewhere else.
My family and I chose Manotick Place. It was known as Orchard View on the Rideau then but was changed to Manotick Place Retirement Community in 2016.
As the months went by I got to know the staff & the
people who lived here. The residents are very nice
to speak to. My dinner companions are super! The staff are great
and know exactly what they are doing and they are good at their jobs. I enjoy calling Manotick Place my home. I made the right choice!
